ARTIST STATEMENT
As a cartoonist, my work is informed by a long history of pictorial storytelling. When creating comics, I hope that people can better understand me and feel a sense of recognition of their own lives in the stories and images I create. Using color and composition inspired by films and comic art from around the world, I aim to create atmospheric immersive works. Favoring simple, dynamic stylization with an emphasis on capturing subtleties of human expressions, I strive to create fantasy comic art firmly grounded in reality. |
